PLG did not invent the museum spotlight, but we believe there is still room for improvement.

We develop luminaires with the aim of ensuring they are precise, robust, impeccably finished, and flexible enough to adapt to a particular venue, artwork or requirement.

Project after project, we continue to improve them.

Based in Pantin, near Paris, our company designs and manufactures precision lighting fixtures for museums and cultural venues. We develop a high-performance standard range, whilst also offering bespoke solutions tailored to the most demanding requirements for the conservation and display of artworks.

As specialists in museum lighting, we submit tenders for permanent and temporary lighting projects. Our equipment combines technical quality, reliability and compliance with preventive conservation standards

Our experience has taught us that the value of a professional tool cannot be measured simply by the specifications listed on its technical data sheet. A spotlight must produce precise light, respect the artworks, blend into its surroundings, and be handled, moved, adjusted, maintained and, at times, modified several years after its installation.

This is what we strive to produce: well-designed tools that our clients can use without having to adapt to their shortcomings.

Our spotlights now illuminate works at the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay, Versailles, Les Invalides, the Centre Pompidou, the Cité des Sciences and in numerous museums across France. We are proud of these achievements. But they do not mean that our work is done.

Some products still need improving. Others have yet to be invented. Every project teaches us something we hadn’t anticipated, and that is what makes our work so exciting.
